Hi, the security department has just disconnected my computer, due to a security issue with docinsight, but they take it serious.
Did anybody else experience some problems with the recent version/update???
Hi @Niels
Could you please try the new one? The docinsight.exe
extracted from the next build 23.

We suspect these alerts were triggered by two main factors:
- The executable is currently unsigned.
- It includes compressed and obfuscated data, which can sometimes trigger heuristic detections.
We understand that code signing is one of the most effective ways to build trust and reduce false positives. We plan to address this in the coming months and appreciate your patience as we work toward improving our release process.
@Niels btw. what virus software/platform do you use? What’s the file version and SHA-256 checksum of the docinsight.exe
? We always use the VirusTotal to perform security check before announcing the update. However, we will put the code signing in the high priority in Q2-Q3.
We are using ThreatLocker and Datto EDR.
VirusTotal currently tags it as Trojan with 7 out of 73 scanners. That is some 10%. The report said the threat was detected via concrete signatures. That is serious enough that no security-minded administrator would allow it to run,
Sorry for not update here. The latest DocInsight Insiders 6.0.0.23 looks good in VirusTotal. We also posted analysis about previous malware alert.
What’s the link of this? which file does it scan? It showed 2/73 when I resubmitted the installer to VirusTotal. We had refactor the code and rebuild the installer but reused the build number 23 by mistake.
The latest result of DocInsight 6.0.0.23 installer shows only W32.AIDetectMalware
from Bkav Pro.
0/73 for the new docinsight.exe
