Update Check Process

  1. Use a remote HTTPS API server to retrieve the latest update metadata.
  2. Validate the signature of the update metadata.
  3. Download the update file to the local app data directory.
  4. Validate the file’s SHA-256 hash.
  5. Run the installer.
